I don't know if I'm just using it wrong or if this is a bug. If I want to recursively add all files in my folder, pijul adds every file, including those from the .ignore file.
pijul record -n takes .ignore into account; it would indeed be need if pijul add --recursive would do it as well.
pijul record -n
pijul add --recursive

I can reproduce this with Pijul 0.11.1 but not with the master branch. pmeunier said he actually fixed this a couple of months ago. (See last comment.) Can you build Pijul from master and test if it has fixed your problem?
I can't build because I'm on windows and the build requires pkg-config, which I couldn't get to work correctly.
@iantownsend: cool, did you test this on Windows (I don't think it should make a difference, but who knows)?
