bugfix: hide search bar when done

Stupidity #1: I could swear I tested this while first building it, but it wasn't actually ever working. All this while I've had the impression for some reason that it only happens some of the time. I have to click somewhere outside the bar or something. No, it happens every single time.

Stupidity #2: I could swear I looked in the most obvious place right at the start of debugging this. But no, I had to go full circle and find the problem was in the most obvious place.
