some temporary logs

I'm seeing some instances recently of losing the cursor. I click on an editable note and the cursor disappears off screen (probably to the start of the note). Since it's off the screen I can't edit until I scroll back to find it. What would cause cursor to reset after mouse click?

And why when the cursor is off the screen would a click ever fail to move the cursor? This latter question in particular should be aided by this commit.
