Manual for Pijul

#49 Update installation instructions to `~1.0.0-beta`

Closed on April 1, 2024

For the installation instructions, the manual instructs the user to run cargo install pijul --version "~1.0.0-alpha".

Since 1.0.0-beta was released a few weeks ago, I think these instructions could be updated to point to the beta instead.

This is my first time using Pijul, so please let me know if my patches are incorrect or need to be updated. :)

Hi! Thanks for these changes. This is almost fine, the only problem is that these changes are based on a previous format of this repository (entirely my fault, I should have updated this repo before releasing Pijul beta).

Would you mind recording them again from a fresh clone? Thanks!

Hi! I’m working through the backlog, thanks for your contribution!

I’ve merged this into main, and will open a follow-up discussion about also recommending the --locked flag.

If you’re interested, or would like to discuss, please feel free to reach out through the backlog topic on Zulip.
