If I’m not mistaken, the two figures in the associativity section are the wrong way around. The first scenario is B and C being merged at once, but this is depicted in the second figure.

That is totally correct, thanks! These figures were made with Inkscape before, but I thought it would look more consistent if everything was in LaTeX, but I rewrote them incorrectly.
