When the -S option is specified, it is the user’s intention that a signature should be made. So when a change cannot be signed, it makes sense to abort the recording rather than silently ignoring the error.

Change signatures were rather low-priority in the alpha until now, but we should definitely start supporting them better. Thanks for the report!
