#778 Word-by-word instead of line-based diffs (for Wiki backing and similar document use cases)

Carrying forward an old topic from the Darcs3 wishlist: http://darcs.net/Ideas/Darcs3Wishlist

Wikis are just collaborative text documents, so it makes sense that there are several wiki engines which use a dvcs like git to manage history. But for these contexts, diffs make more sense on a word-by-word basis or paragraph/block-based rather than line-by-line. Open source notion alternatives like AppFlowy could make use of something similar too. How possible would this be?

Edit: This was also raised on the forums

Pijul diffs are precise, not line by line.
