I am back at work today after a 4 day trip to Pomona Island.
The paddle in on Saturday was great on a calm lake Manapouri. I set up my camp and had a good rest.

Sunday I was very busy servicing audo moth recorders. I was very pleased to see a pair of Kakariki.

Monday was foggy and I read a book.

Yesterday was a trap check for the Pomona Island Trust.

The kiwi are busy, I heard many calls with my own ears including a duet at close quarters, and there were lots of kiwi prints on the beaches until the tourist boats, with their massive wake and offensive loudspeaker, started on Monday afternoon.
