# Soupe3D

This is the repository of **Soupe3D**, an easily installable environment for **visual effects and animation** production.\
Built **for artists and developers**, the environment is **pre-configured but extremely flexible**.\
Based on [Guix](https://guix.gnu.org/), it is installable as a **full operating system**, or as **packages for other systems**.

## Features

This project started recently, it just provides latest version of [Blender](https://www.blender.org/) and [Pixar USD](https://graphics.pixar.com/usd) for Guix now.  

+ Installer as an OS      (Guix 1.4.0)
+ Installer as a package  (Guix 1.4.0)
+ Asset editor            (Blender 3.4.1)
+ Asset database          (USD 23.02)

## Status

Still **experimental**, GPU acceleration is missing.

Intel: needs more packaging work\
AMD: needs more packaging work\
NVidia: non-free software
