#788 [Documentation] pijul version to install is not in sync

Opened by saona-raimundo on April 4, 2023

In the manual, the version to install mentioned is “~1.0.0-alpha” while in downloads it is “~1.0.0-beta”

I did not find the repository for the manual book. Where should I do the PR? (or rather a CR?)

So the repository for the manual is here: https://nest.pijul.com/pijul/manual

I tried to clone the repo and push changes, but I did not manage to push the changes. This is what I get

pijul push

opens an editor with this content

# Please select the changes to push. The lines that contain just a
# valid hash, and no other character (except possibly a newline), will
# be pushed.

Updating install instructions in the manual

when I close the editor, I get this.

Uploading changes [ ] 0/1

Error: The HTTP server returned an error: No command specified

Any help? I am running pijul 1.0.0-beta.4

Hi! Welcome here. You can’t push to main directly, you have to open a discussion first, and then push to it. For example, after opening discussion 123 in that repo, you can push to that discussion by doing pijul push --to-channel :123.

Thank you both!

https://nest.pijul.com/pijul/manual/discussions/49 is exactly what I pointed out.
